Sailors Prayer / Keith Sykes / Thongs 3
Our friends at Snoloha were recently named the number one “slacker friendly business” in America by MSN.COM and STARTUP NATION. To celebrate this honor, Rod and the gang at Snoloha have created a great new “Trop Rock” apparel design paying tribute to the music we love so much. The best part about it is that for every shirt sold, a donation will be made to The Paradise Charitable Foundation, a national Parrot Head organization that donates to worthwhile causes, like parrot heads displaced by Katrina. So check out Snoloha.com and see for yourself. Tell them JimmyPirate sent you and help out a great charitable organization too. SNOLOHA… A lifestyle shared by those who live, play, travel, vacation, relax, or simply enjoy life somewhere between the islands and the arctic. |
Podcast SummaryJoin your hosts JimmyPirate and P.J. Bananas every episode of the TropiCast Radio Showcase and The TropiCast Spotlight. Bringing you some of the best Trop Rock out there.
About JimmyAfter playing in metal bands for most of my youth, I finally brought my love of the tropics into my music and as usual, I go a little overboard. My obsession is for your enjoyment. I formed the Jimmy Buffett tribute band "Pirate Dreams" up in Western New York in 2002 in order to bring fun back into my music. I'd always been a Buffett fan and it seemed a summer-y thing to do. After a while just playing it wasn't enough and I decided to take it past where we found it and write some of our own tropically influenced tunes. Little did I know that there were hundreds of other tropically inspired musical adventurers out there, all kings of their own little islands somewhere out in the vast archipelago known as "Trop Rock". I'm not an expert by any means, call me an "enthusiastic adventurer" and the TropiCast Radio Showcase shares these adventures with you. Support these artists, whether it's by attending a live show, buying a disc or a t-shirt or downloading a tune or two on i-tunes. We'd appreciate it.
